About TestStand
TestStand from National Instruments was developed to automate
numerous different test systems and to standardize the proceeding. TestStand organizes,
controls and administrate test systems for prototypes, production and final inspection.
TestStand represents a sequence editor for combining different
test steps into a single sequence and executing them. The functionality of each
step is realized by implementation of DLLs, ActiveX, LabVIEW-VIs or executables.
TestStand allows easy debugging, because the development environments LabVIEW and
Measurement Studio are fully integrated, up to single step mode within the final
test application.

Summary
TestStand is well suited for the control of highly complex test
systems. We mainly use TestStand if the customer has TestStand and wants to modify
and adapt the test sequences to future requirements at any time.
